And these are also what the function of power system. But, there is also the limit for any component to serve the system. Both generation and transmition system can not work continuosly without any stop or any maintenance. The transmition also have its own rating capacity to supply the load. Therefore, sometimes the component go offline especially when it need maintenance. This availability and unavailability value of the power system called a reability value. <br /> <br /> <br /> Several ways to get the good value of the system reliability are making the best maintenance scheduling for generation and transmition system, and also by providing the better protection system exist. <br /> <br /> <br /> This final project deals with making and find the good scheduling maintenance for both generation and transmition system with the expected energy not supplied value as the indicator. Expected energy not supplied is one of the <br /> <br /> <br /> reliability parameter for power system. Besides EENS, the frequency of load curtailed and the duration will also take part to make the best scheduling. These parameters can be found by using the index load point method. <br /> <br /> <br /> These purpose and method will be applied by adding N-1 transmition contingency for each generation scheduling period on the IEEE Reliability Test System 1979 24 Bus. text
