which cost around $19.961,81 for the licenses. OTS system based on open source <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
softwares will be designed for reducing the usage of licensed softwares, especially <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Human Machine Interface/HMI (Wonderware InTouch) [14] and OPC Server <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
(Matrikon + FSGateway) [9]. Now, OTS system will be made by changing HMI’s <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
software to PVBrowser and OPC server’s software into Matrikon+OpenOPC. Due <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
to softwares replacement, adaptation in OTS architecture is needed and will be <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
done by adapating one of last architecture made by past researches. In addition, <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
redesigning operator station and instructor station with PVBrowser and <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
redesigning OPC communication with Matrikon+OpenOPC in OTS system is also <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
needed because of the softwares replacement. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
After the designed OTS system is tested, it shows that instructor station can made <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
using PVBrowser with all of its features run, except in variable time-scale - <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
accelaration mode and operator log. Moreover, OPC communication’s testing <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
result shows that real-time OPC communication can be made because of its <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
capabilites for communicating 500 tags in 0.135s (read) and 0.078s (write). <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The test on instructor station and OPC communication in OTS system based on <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
open source softwares shows satisfying results. The implementation of new <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
architecture of OTS system is also successful. In conclusion, OTS system based <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
on open source is sufficent as simulator and the cost of softwares for licences is <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
reduced from $19.961,81 to $265,95. |
