Water as fuel can using for <br /> <br /> <br /> supplement or substitute of fuel oil, that has been used on internal combustion engines This research did in a experimental manner using Yamawa engine charged by electric heater, which completed by HHO generator as producer of <br /> <br /> <br /> HHO gas. The number of electrode plates used in the HHO generator is 5 plates with the variation of the concentration of KOH in the electrolyte as much as <br /> <br /> <br /> 10% and 20% of the solvent volume. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of HHO gas adition for 4 stroke gasoline engine performanc The result shows that the addition of HHO gas to fuel mixture could cause improvement in combustion process. The addition of centain amount HHO gas can increase output power as much as 2.68%, decreasing in SFC as much as 2.42 and increasing of termal efficiency as much as 1.7% text |
