Summary: | Geoelectrical method is one of the geophysical methods to determine the resistivity of the earth's surface. These methods take advantage of price variations to determine the resistivity of the subsurface geological structure, so it can be applied in the search for water reservoirs, groundwater contamination, and geothermal exploration. This paper contains the configuration of Schlumberger geoelectric method to estimate the Caprock geothermal prospects in an area. The parameters discussed include the depth of the layer (h), the resistivity of the layer (rho) which is a parameter value to be searched and the apparent resistivity (rho-a) which is a known parameter value from the results of field measurements. The range of distance measurement is directly proportional to the depth. The study was conducted by measuring the distance range of 6000 m. The results of processing the data shows the distribution of resistivity below the surface. Cap rock are impermeable and have a low resistivity (<10 ohm meters). Low resistivity distribution can be estimated as the Cap rock of a geothermal area. |
