Description
Summary:Analysis of the structural condition of pavement using deflection data of Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) is to evaluate the strength of pavement structure using Non-destructive test. The aim of this study is to evaluate the structural performance of flexible pavement using ELMOD 5 program compared to the AASHTO 1993 method in Jagorawi toll road, section Bogor-Ciawi.

Using AASHTO 1993 method which modeling two-layer system of pavement based on cumulative design ESAL for 2007 to 2012 are 15.709.392 ESALs/lane of direction A and 13.484.406 ESALs/lane for direction B, the average overlay thickness is higher than the results of ELMOD program which modeling threelayer and four-layer structure of pavement.

The differences between Elasticity Modulus and material characteristics of each pavement layer are caused by the differences of methodology, data input, pavement structure model, temperature correction, and back calculation method.

The number of pavement layer will determine the accuracy of result calculation, as shown by the comparison of ELMOD program (three and four-layer) to the AASHTO 1993 method (two-layer). Whereas, the higher the cumulative, the

higher the overlay thickness.
