Description
Summary:Geothermal pipe is used to drain geothermal from the bowels of the earth to the earth’s surface. There is a separator inside for separating the necessary elements from the unnecessary ones. After the separation, the required elements then distributed to other pipes for further processing into power plants. Separators inside geothermal pipes are often damaged due to the lacing style of Lift

force and Drag force of gas flow. Through the governing equations; continuity equation, momentum equation, energy equation, and the equation of state, a mathematical model of fluid flow in geothermal pipes will be derived. Imposing perturbation in the initial conditions in this model will then produce a mathematical model of fluid flow around the separator in geothermal pipes. Lift coefficient and Drag coefficient will be determined. The amount force of gas flow which hit the separator then will be able to predict. The model that has been obtained will be used in numerical simulations of the Laplace equation to determine the behavior of the incompressible flow and compressible flow through geothermal pipes.
