Multilayer <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Ceramic Capacitor (MCC) enables the possibility to reduce the size of capacitor without reduce its capacitance. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Barium titanate (BaTiO3) with perovskite tetragonal crystal structure is known as ferroelectric material usually uses as dielectric layer in Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs). Thin film BaTiO3 is synthesized by sol gel and self-assembly method. Variation of calcination temperature, precursor concentration and aging time show the influence of three aspects to the result, particularly in thickness, crystalinity and also crystal structure. In this case, the variation of precursor barium hydroxide octahidrate (Ba(OH)2•8H2O) and titanium isopropoxide (Ti(OC3H7)4) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> concentration are 0.1 M and 0.05 M and aging time is 16 hours and 20 hours. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Characterization by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) shows that this research had successfully synthesized thin film of BaTiO3. Calcination temperatures significantly influence the crystalinity and also crystal structure. Temperature at <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 900oC is the best temperature to produces tetragonal barium titanate. Moreover, characterization by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) tells us that aging time just influence thickness of thin film. text
