Aside from that, the excessive use of fossil energy will also create bad impacts towards environment sustainability. <br /> <br /> <br /> Due to this reason, there is a need to find a solution on the ongoing problem especially in Indonesia as a developing country. However, utilizing renewable energy emerges as one of the answers to tackle this problem; and wind energy is one of those various renewable energies that will be very potential if it is well developed. But another problem regarding to this breakthrough is that the utilization of the potential of this wind energy is still rarely use, whereas this wind energy is a green energy. Thus, further development on wind power is needed, not to mention the wind turbine as the source of its power. <br /> <br /> <br /> This research deals with the idea of designing, manufacturing, and testing of the wind turbine. The type of wind turbine chosen is the horizontal axis turbine with three blade face and a diameter 1.4 meters with the cutting modifications at 0.4 R. These turbine is designed and manufactured to be suitable to use in Indonesia, thus the result of this research will enable next research to optimize the utilization of this turbine. <br /> <br /> <br /> The data that are obtained from the test will show the characteristic of the power of the wind turbine in various wind speeds. text |
