With the global warming issue and back to nature campaign, many research and development on biocomposite has been done to replace sintetic composite. Many research about natural fiber such as coir, jute, flex, hemp, cotton, sisal, bamboo, etc to be used as composite fiber also has been done. Indonesia as a country with great natural resources could be a potential place in developing biocomposite to increase that natural resource added value. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This thesis is made to research on impact characteristic of bamboo fiber composite sandwich structure with polyurethane core which impacted in low velocity. Hopefully could become a step ahead for biocomposite and reference to make bamboo fiber composite sandwich panel. The specimen was made from bamboo woven, epoxy resin, and polyurethane foam. Spesimens has variation on core thickness an spesimen width. Impact test methode was used drop weight impact test with height and impactor weight variation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The impact analyze is discussed about the failure mode and tendency, deflection, spesimens absorption energy, and comparison to static load in sandwich structure. Failure that happen is local indentation, matrix cracking, core cracking/failure, delamination, and fiber crack. Core cracking direction is straight as impact direction. Difference on energy absorption is because geometrical structure and core density. text
