Description
Summary:Safety and convenience become important factors in railway transportation system. One thing that affect two factors above is the suspension system. Model approach to be used in designing controllers in the railways suspension is elastic system with three support of mass and six degrees of freedom. In this final project, we discuss the application of the H∞ control in design of active control on the suspension railways. The purpose of active control is to reduce the vibration at the train due to the disruption of movement on the railroad. One of the advantages of H∞ control is more robust against the uncertainties that arise in the system. The performance of H∞ active controller can be shown from impulse response graphs and bode plot charts. From the simulation result, we can conclude that the performance of the H∞ active control is better than the performance of the passive control.
