Description
Summary:Benakat Timur Field is one of gas and oil producer in Sumatera Selatan Basin which is situated 150 km westward next to Palembang city. Benakat Timur Field is an old field of gas and oil producer which is doing enhancement program started in 2002. In effort to carry out the enhancement program then well log data dan seismic line revisited dan re-interpretation to obtain representative subsurface description. Main reservoir in this field is

sandstone layer which of them are in K, M layer that includes the Talang Akar Formation. In this study, data processing is done for sandstone layer which include in K, M layer. Data processing begins with volume shale calculation of gamma ray logs to determine sandstone layer dan elektrofacies analysis as a basis for modeling. The next step is to interpret sequence

stratigraphy boundary for correlation between wells were then used to determining zone for modeling. Seismic interpretation dan literature studies used to determine the direction of deposition in this field as basis for 3D modeling. This study conclude that the sandstone layer in K, M layer zone consists of three facies

association are channel, bar dan interdistributary area with delta depositional environment. Benakat Timur Field lies in antiklin structure with the major axis trending north-south relative which is being faulted by north-south trending reverse fault and three west-east trending normal fault. K, M layer deposited with three sequence stratigraphy patterns from bottom to top are

transgressive system tract (TST), highstand system tract (HST), dan low stand system tract (LST) with direction of deposition relatively west-east trending.
