To distribute natural oil from oil wells to plants or other destination, a good pipeline system is needed. Pipeline must be designed as <br /> <br /> <br /> optimal as possible to make the pipe cost, operational cost, and maintenance cost become minimum. <br /> <br /> <br /> In this final project, pipe size and number of pump stations of Tempino – Plaju oil pipeline has been optimized in order to replace the existing pipeline that has some major damages. Optimization has been done by HYSYS software to analyze the fluid profile and to find out power of pumps needed, then continued by wall thickness calculation for various diameter of pipes. In order to get the most minimum cost, calculation of installation cost and operational cost has been done. All the analysis is based on ASME B31.4 code that organizes pipeline transportation systems for liquid. <br /> <br /> <br /> The analysis result shows that the most optimum pipe size is NPS 8 inch schedule 40 for KM 265 – KM 174 segment, NPS 10 inch schedule 40 for KM 174 – KM 122 segment, and NPS 10 inch schedule 40 for KM 122 – KM 3 segment. The most optimum number of booster stations for this pipeline system <br /> <br /> <br /> is 3 that located at KM 265, KM 174, and KM 77 with 724,34 kW as total of pumps’ power. <br /> text
