Summary:<p align="justify">Generally, nation's defence is a principal pillar to guarantee the existences of one state sovereignty. The management of nation's defence has been stated in Constituent 1945 section 30, and also in Law of the state defence number 3 year 2002 about nation's defence. In the fact, state defence have purpose to guarantee stand upright of sovereignty of unity state republic of Indonesia towards treat and interferences from domestic or foreign. To create that condition is needed means of defense endorsement which is completed, especially defence equipment, it must be appropriate with development and progress of technology and suppotions of treat's degree that will be faced and also available of professional soldier.<p align="justify"><p>Defence equipment procurement system is one of crucial issue in the development of defence. All this time, much people assumed that defence equipment procurement system in Indonesia is not efficient and effective, where is suppose that have been wasting budget in that process. In the other side, budget that is allocated by The Government for defence interest still far from the reality requirements. Because of that, it is needed high efficiency in the budget management.<p align="justify"><p>In recently time, government efforts to organize of defence equipment procurement system with publish some policy that aims at one door supplying policy, it means that defence equipment procurement system for TNI interest must be done pass through Ministry of Defence as politic authority holder in defence policy. Policy of one door procurement requires TNI's defence equipment procurement have to follow the mechanism that have been settled by Ministry of Defence and TNI cannot do procurement without known by Ministry of Defence.<p align="justify"><p>One Door's policy of defence equipment procurement System is one proper and general thing in the democratic countries. In view of policy is taken by Ministry of Defence apparently will evolution continuously in order to find the best form in the next time, it is considered to compare that system with defence equipment procurement system in another countries. That comparison aims to become an input in order to defence equipment procurement system in Indonesia is being well.<p align="justify"><p>United Kingdom (UK) is one of the democratic countries in the world with good management of defence equipment procurement system. Beside that, UK work out a extensive cooperation defence with Indonesia begin from defence equipment procurement until capacity building cooperation as education cooperation in defence sector. Because of that, it is not wrong if defence equipment procurement system in UK is used as comparison thing.<p align="justify"><p>This research discuss about the comparison analysis of defence equipment procurement system in Indonesia and UK. In Indonesia, defence equipment procurement system in macro manner is not apart from national interest of Indonesian, while in micro manner, it is connected with policy defence that have been settled by the government. Actually, there is not the differences of main reason that why defence equipment procurement system is done either in UK or Indonesia . The differences are lie in micro aspect, where defence equipment procurement in UK connected with its policy of nation politic foreign and the development of industry national defence. As a NATO member, policy of UK defence must be synchronous with NATO. In the other side, defence equipment procurement also must give priority to industry in their country to fulfill that requirements.<p align="justify"><p>Based on analysis result, there is the differences that form the background defence equipment procurement, although same in principal. The differences is also found in mechanism of institution before taken final objective decision. Meanwhile, In Indonesia , mechanism of defence equipment is still lax, until the decision of defence equipment procurement can be a subjectively. Connecting with defence equipment procurement system, there are some differences between UK and Indonesia. The differences are as follow:<p>1. Policy of procurement<p>2. Outsider interferences<p>3. Procurement line<p>4. Range of bureaucracy<p>5. Quality control<p align="justify"><p>From the result of analysis, it can take conclusion that defence equipment procurement system in UK and Indonesia have some similarity but also have much differences. This differences are affected by many factors as policy of foreign, policy of defence, policy of industry and establishment system. As a development country, UK has defence equipment procurement system that has been evaluated by the time, while Indonesia is just at a certain time organizing the defence equipment procurement system.
