The MiMo-UAV is categorized as mini-UAV because it weights no more than five kilograms. The aircraft in this class is usually used for surveillance or reconnasissance mission. Morphing technology is usually applied in the aircraft to obtain maximum performance for the entire flight phase. In this final project, the design of MiMo-UAV is conducted to understand more about morphing technology and to apply it in the design of an UAV. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The main goal of this final project is to design MiMo-UAV through parametric study to obtain design parameters, analyze the characteristics of existing aircraft with morphing technology, preliminary and detail design, and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> production feasibility analysis.Types of morphing technology that will be applied in the MiMo-UAV is variable sweep wing configuration and variable extension tail. With all the existing limitations in terms of technology availability, manufacturing, and budget, it is a challenge for the author to design MiMo-UAV which has the capability to fly like a conventional mini-UAV. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result of the final project is a design concept and knowledge about the MiMo-UAV that is feasible to produce. MiMo-UAV will be a test platform for designing adaptive control system by installation of instruments and sensors. text
