After finishing the exploration activities, a 3-D ore body modelling is needed to design and to analyze the deposit in order to determine wich mine methode that will be applied.<p>The calculation methode of resource/reserve consists of two methods, they are : conventional and non conventional methode. A methode that is used in this research is the conventional method with inverse distance power approach. Along with the growth of technology, a resource estimation with conventional method can be computerize modified by using available software without changing the calculation philosophy so that the work will be done more quickly.<p>Modeling is done based on a model concept where resources divided in to small blocks to help making detail grade estimation. The dimension of the blocks is: X x Y x Z = -½ space distance between each drill point (1/2 x 25 m), Y = -½ space distance between each drill point (1/2 x 25 m) dan Z = 2 m (Based on Convention).<p>The result of the statistic analysis shows that Mean, Skewness and Variance of Ni, Fe and MgO in north block and south block is similar with the conclusion that the distribution of the grade value in both blocks is same in their characteristics. Besides, the result of the statistical analysis of Scatter Plot shows the existence of two different data population and shows the Lateritic phase from the correlation interpretation of the grade variable Ni to Fe and Ni to MgO.<p>The result of this research is the total estimated resource of lateritic nickel based distribution horizon which is called Limonite Zone is approximately 497.127,06 (total tonnage) with the average grades of: Ni : 1,29 % ; Fe : 44,35 %; MgO : 9,39 %, In the other side, the total estimated resource in the Saprolite Zone is approximately 2.377.997,01 (total tonnage) with the average grades of Ni : 2,08 % ; Fe : 20,011 % ; MgO : 23,32 %. Than, the amount of lateritic nickel resource is 2.875.124,06 tonnage with the average grades of : Ni : 1,68, Fe : 32,18 and MgO : 16,36 (with assumption that the density of limonite zone and saprolite zone is 1,6 ton/m3).<p>This research also estimating the economic resources based on Cut Off Grade compiled in the scenario. In the first scenario, the assumed value of COG >1,2 % and assumed value of density ore is 1.6 ton/m3. The result volume of ore resource estimation is 1.768.039 m3 than the tonnage of ore was 2.828.862,61 ton with average grade of: Ni 1,95%, Fe 23,35% and MgO 21,23% and with the waste volume of 336.795,78 m3. Than, for the 2nd scenario with the assumed value of COG > 1,8 % and the assumed value of density ore is 1.6 ton/m3.
