One of the most important part on fighter aircraft structure is the cokpit structure, because some of its structure should be replaced with a canopy. With these
In this final project research, design of the cockpit structure is based on the initial design MJK Fighter aircraft, further defined the loads applied to determine the shape of each structure components. After the structure design based on necessity, some analysis of loading are doing by finite element method. Critical load which is used is the inertial load due to maneuver with maximum load factor.
To obtain more accurately design, the design of the cockpit structure analysis was performed iteratively by modifying variable either the thickness of each component or the material used. It then obtained the final results of research that the cockpit structure capable of withstanding the load with a configuration such that the maximum stress value is below the material yield strength.
