It was due to the lack of mitigation plan and effort. Tsunami mitigation plan is closely related to the accuracy of tsunami hazard information detail and the effectiveness of tsunami early warning system. <br /> <br /> <br /> This research presents an agent-based model and simulation to evacuate the residents in one of the villages in the Bengkulu City which located in the tsunami hazard zone. Modeling and simulation were developed in NetLogo environment, a toolkit for agent-based modeling and simulation of complex system. Detailed information related to tsunami hazard, Geographic Information System (GIS) data, and populations behavior during evacuation process are initial inputs for modeling. Peoples are represented as agents will decide their own target and search for the path using the A* (A Star) algorithm. Results show that local government scenario was need to be improved. Simulation with best result was given by model scenario that use 2 shelters which could save 1647 peoples (99.64%) within 20 minutes. The proposed model is useful for feasibility analysis of evacuation system and also for shelter demand analysis. text |
