Description
Summary:This final project which entitles ”The development of medical image access system based on SFVQ ( Scalable Fuzzy Vector Quantization )” is mainly purposed to implement SVFQ method in PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). The medical world that keeps on developing demands

growth in medical information access.

PACS is a system that can gather several medical images into a respository. The definition of PACS is a series of computers or networks that has functions such as saving, downloading, distributing, and representing image data.

PACS consists of 3 main parts, which are encoder, decoder, and depository in the server. In this final project, the implementation of SFVQ in PACS are made using C# programming language.

The final outcome of this final project is an SFVQ implemented PACS that gives an easier way in getting datas by physician through LAN or GPRS. The encoding process takes time between 1 minute 9 seconds 96 miliseconds and 2

minutes 36 seconds 16 miliseconds for the smallest test image size is 1328 x 1282 pixel and the largest test image size is 2002 x 1915 pixel. On the other hand, the decoding process takes time between 96 miliseconds and 2 seconds 33

miliseconds.
