haven’t yet produced an accurate product impacting to improper moment and force produced. As a result, its process spend much time. Therefore, a new alternative tools design is needed to produce geomteric loop that gives a momentto- force ratio required.

First of all, jig design was made using graphic design software. Iteration method was used to obtain proper design that afford to form T-Loop geometric on orthodontic archwire. Then, the design was made into prototype that was tried in bending process to two types of archwire which are stainless steel and betatitanium archwire.
Prototype trials were carried out to examine empirically the springback effect on archwire. It is needed as guidance in using this tools From bending process, springback angles obtained was measured by profile projector. The angles increased proportionally with increasing in bending angle.
This was caused by strain hardening phenomenon. |
