In consideration of raw materials that could be easily obtained, the idea of kitchen metallurgy was raised. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Designing and manufacturing furnace was carried out to obtain a furnace with ability to perform metallurgy in kitchen, and the furnace was tested by doing pack carburizing at 9000C for 60 minute, and then specimens were quenched. Coconut shell charcoal was use as potential carbon and blood cockle shell as energizer. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Pack carburizing was carried out using electric furnace, the purpose was to compared effective case depth between multipurpose furnace and electric furnace text
