Volumetric method is a method to estimate the reserves of geothermal energy in a geothermal reservoir. The amount of geothermal energy reserves in a reservoir depends on its physical parameters required as an input to the volumetric equations. The assumption used in the calculation in this study includes the recovery factor by 25%, electricity conversion factor of 15%, and the final temperature of 180oC which is the minimum temperature to drive the geothermal turbine. The calculation using the volumetric method that is used in this study will give us a value of geothermal energy reserves in X geothermal field of about 375,03 MWthermal and electric potential of about 56,25 MWelectric for 25 years of exploitation process and its value will decrease over time. text |
