Summary: | Time-based maintenance techniques is planned action to prevent damage and failure, was not effective enough to prevent failure. Thus, reliability analysis is needed to determine the value of Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
To perform reliability analysis, Weibull distribution is used, because this distribution may be used to model both increasing and decreasing failure rates. From collected failure data in the field, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) value will be determined. Based on case studies in Suralaya, found that the failures that occur are the result of: explosion, throat-ring broken, lower-gate jammed, wear plate, failed to start, and leaks. From the data of this failure will be determined using the value of MTBF reliability analysis of power plant in Suralaya, so that its maintenance techniques become more effective
and efficient. From the results of calculations performed, MTBF values obtained for each failure are as follows: explosive 29784.1 hours; failed to start 2685.6 hours; leakage 40456.8 hr; lower gate jam 1104 hrs; wear of 4378.2 hours; throat 84636.5 hours a broken ring; original tire major inspection 19130.9 hours and non original tire major
