Effective maintenance activities on the Diesel engine is needed to ensure that engine performance is always good. Effective maintenance <br /> <br /> <br /> activities can only be achieved by planning, along with deep analysis of a Diesel engine. The analysis can be performed if complete data of Diesel engines is available both the operating condition data, maintenance data, or failure data. <br /> <br /> <br /> The collection of operation, maintenance, and failure data will be easier to be done using internet technology. A good information system can assist the process of collecting data and then save the data into the database neatly. Data <br /> <br /> <br /> processing and data transmission also take place rapidly using internet technology. The rapid processing and delivery of this data will allow monitoring the condition of the engine remotely. <br /> <br /> <br /> This final project have successfully created an information system that can be used to collect operation, maintenance, and failure data in Diesel engines. The information system that has been made also can process operation, maintenance, <br /> <br /> <br /> and failure data and then displays them into a format that can ease analysis of these data. This final project also analyze maintenance activities in PT Timah’s Belitung 1 dredger in 2007 to 2010 using output of the information system. text
