Started in 1962, PT Sinarmas Agrobusiness dan Technology is a company run in the field of palm oil cultivation and refinement. The company realizes that as demand on products increases, the quality of delivery process should follow accordingly. At the moment, PT Smart's warehouse on Jl. Rawa Bulak 2, Jakarta, and has been experiencing delivery delays. These delays reduce opportunities for the company to attain income. One of the methods used to find these solutions is by creating a waiting line simulation of product delivery process and conducting analysis of human resources and procedures. The method begins by a comprehensive study of the overall delivery process by warehouse, and follows by a simulation describing actual conditions using research data from July to August 2009. Simulation of alternative solution reflects additional servers, temporary supply areas, and a combination of both. Moreover, a descriptive analysis is done to assess <br /> <br /> <br /> human resources involved in the delivery process, and procedures. The results of the research show that a combination of additional servers and supply areas <br /> <br /> <br /> is the most useful solution. Furthermore, in order to improve employees’ performance, warehouse apply several programs, in addition to alteration in delivery procedures called demand management.
