Summary: | The electromagnetic interference phenomena introduced by electric or electronic equipment being turned on will carry the dangerous effect especially for certain applications such as on the airplane. According to the standard RTCA/DO-1600 section 21, an electric or electronic equipment which will be installed on the airplane must previously be tested in order to determine whether the equipment does not emit the electromagnetic energy at the radio frequency beyond the specified limitation or not. One of the measuring instrumentation used is the spectrum analyzer. <br />
This thesis presents the software RFESW (Radio Frequency Emission Software) developed as the driver of spectrum analyzer type HP-8562A used for measuring the emission level of the electromagnetic energy at the radio frequency. The requirements analysis has been done by using the SA/RT method. The design has been done by using the techniques for object oriented design TOOD. The software RFESW has been implemented through C language of Borland and also tested by using the functional method or black box testing. The software RFESW has also been tested at EMC Laboratory – PT. IPTN by using spectrum analyzer type HP-8562A in order to validate the software RFESW in the real application which meet the requirements specified before. |
