Description
Summary:This thesis is a study of relationship between Drama Theory I and II. In particular, interpretations of the six dilemmas of Drama Theory I in the context of Drama Theory II, are investigated. Analytic approach is used in this investigation. A holistic view of the structure of the dilemmas arising in Drama Theory II is obtained. This structure suggests the emergence of dilemmas regarding options. In this regard, it is shown rigorously that the six dilemmas of Drama Theory I reduced to three in Drama Theory II. A theoretical insight into relationships among the three dilemmas in Drama Theory II is expressed into two propositions. A case study is carried out to exemplify similarities and differences among the dilemmas in the contexts of Drama Theory I and II. Finally, advantage and disadvantages of Drama Theory II over Drama Theory I in regard to their dilemmas are pointed out.
