Summary:<p align="justify">Optimization methods are often applied in the field of structural engineering to get the best result in a design case. This final task was doing structure optimization of three-legged telecommunications tower using CATIA V5, with some simplification from the common tower, where the sectional shape of each element are reduced became a circle form. <br /> <br /> The analysis of tower structure begins with the parametric modeling using CATIA V5, where the parameters are height and the main angle of the base geometry. The result of modeling will become the parent for making the finite element model until the optimization process is carried out. <br /> <br /> <br /> On the model defined two loading configurations, from the front of antenna and the side of antenna . Based on the loading configurations that have been determined ,four scenarios optimization are set and will be performed on the model. The first optimization scenario is is to take the largest of the design variable from the two loading optimization The second scenario is to make the results of the loading from side of antenna optimization to become lower bound optimization the loading from the front of antenna. The third scenario is to make the results of optimization of the loading from the front of antenna becomes lower limit optimization the loading from the side of antenna. while the later scenario is the optimization of the two loading configurations defined together. <br /> <br /> The results of the optimization process gave highly variable outcomes. Because the method of optimization is simulated annealing optimization algorithm, the results for each iteration shows a graph up and down. After obtaining the graph of each method, then the next step is to conduct the analysis and comparison of each method to obtain the best method. From this analysis it was found that the scenario optimization using the lower limit of a larger force show the best results.<p align="justify">
