Since platinum expensive in cost production, and limited in the nature, therefore, it just make another problem. We try to find the alternative material that has effect catalytic for gas reduction. &#947;-Alumina (gamma alumina) is one of the potential material that has catalytic effect for gas reduction for replace <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> platinum. The forming temperature are low (500-700oC), so the the cost production can be decrease. The research used alumina powder that been made by ceramic foam preparation for it’s body. Than the body covered by gamma alumina membrane by impregnation process using the AlOH solution. The research made by variation of calcinations temperature (500oC, 600oC, 700oC) and effect of chitosan addition. The characterization used a XRD, SEM, EDS, and BET. From XRD characterization show the single phase of gamma alumina from 500oC, 600oC, and 700oC calcinations temperature. And from SEM show the flower-like morphology. text
