Diversity of applications that are used sometimes lead to ambiguity and redundancy of data. SOA can provide benefits to LIPI to address interoperability problems in several applications under work unit. SOA provides a solution to handle the complexity of hardware platforms, software, software maintenance, code reuse, and development services. SOA is a framework for integrating business processes and supporting information technology infrastructure and standardize the service components that can be reused and combined in accordance with business priorities. SOA is loosely coupled (inter-component dependency levels low), highly interoperable (easy to operate), reusable (can be used again), and interoperability (can communicate cross-platform). text
