SIMULATION OF UTILIZING CHILLER HEAT WASTE FOR HOT WATER REQUIREMENT IN HOTEL

In many commercial buildings such as hotels and offices. Usually, the requirement of cold air is handled by an air conditioning system. Whereas, the requirement of hot water is handled by electric heater. The heat from the refrigeration machine released to surrounding usually has utilization. In this simulation, it is studied utilizing chiller heat waste for hot water requirement. <br /> <br /> <br /> Result of simulation indicate that average of energy can be used for heating up water is 383901,221 kj. It can increase temperature of 2500 liter water until 56 oC in 67 minute if chiller operates continually. Results of simulation <br /> <br /> <br /> indicate that using isolator can save energy 0,194 KWh every heating periodic. Energy can be saved using of electic water heater until 90 % from energy used for heating up 2500 liter water from 20 oC - 60 oC using electric water heater. <br /> <br /> <br /> In the peak time of water utilization , result of simulation indicate for using 400 liter water every 15 minute (1600 liter per hour). Water temperatur is still kept warm until 47 oC.
