EFFECT OF GEOMETRIC CONFIGURATION OF RADIOACTIVE SOURCES AGAINTS INTENSITY ON THE BETAVOLTAIC NUCLEAR BATTERY SYSTEM

One drawback of the efficiency values betavoltaic is still small. One way to overcome this is to use as little as possible sources of radioactive substances to produce energy intensity as much as possible. In this thesis will discuss the influence of the configuration source that is used to value th...

One way to overcome this is to use as little as possible sources of radioactive substances to produce energy intensity as much as possible. In this thesis will discuss the influence of the configuration source that is used to value the resulting intensity at the detector. Goals to be achieved in this study is to find the configuration that generates the energy intensity of the optimal beta particles. The calculation is performed numerical calculations using a computer program created by the author using the programming language C + +, as well as using some of the conditioning that is used is a 147Pm source, the efficiency of the source is considered ideal, and the scattering between beta particles as leading semiconductor is ignored. From the calculation results obtained with the conclusion that the configuration of the distribution of source elements collected and closer to the detector has a value greater intensity than other configurations with a same source value used. text
