Description
Summary:Lubricant is used to reduce friction and wearing in machine, so the age of machine will be longer. To maximize lubricant performance, the additives can be added to improve lubricant characteristic in short time.

The research conducted to get correlation between adding additives to lubricant performance, because lubricant is used to reduce friction. Analysis of testing based on initial test. The tests carried out two times. Gearbox test to see friction reduction and Diesel test to see savings.

The result show that adding additive individually can’t reduce friction, because to reduce friction not oly from one factor, but if all aditives combine to one, then the friction can be reduce. So the fuel consumption on Diesel can be

less and the savings can be lots.

The lowest specific fuel consumption (sfc) produced by additive D3 with 20-60% load and 4.67% added additive. The biggest savings produced by additve D2 with average saving 10.29%.
