is considered to choose the suitable kind of power plant with pair-wise comparison method. The next step is energy analysis using Cycle-Tempo and FireCAD software. Validation of these softwares done by compared the result with manual calculation using equation in text book. The final steps for this final project are the drawing of power plant site layout and financial analysis. From the electricity demand calculation approached by population growth, it is obtained that the electricity demand of Kotabaru is 45.51 MW by the year of 2018. Meanwhile, the result obtained with gross regional domestic income is 46.39 MW. According to calculation using pair-wise comparison method, the suitable kind of power plant for Kotabaru is Steam Power Plant. With the using of 5000 kcal/kg coal, the payback period for power plant investment is 13 years and 11 months, with 12.61% of IRR and Rp 122.490.000.000.000 of NPV. Meanwhile, with 6200 kcal/kg coal, the result for payback period is 16 years and a month, 10.52% of IRR and Rp 39.782.000.000.000 of NPV. |
