Location Based Service (LBS) is a service that provides location informations which are accessible with mobile devices. The informations received by Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver would be processed to deliver navigation services, location based information services, shortest path finder services, and others. LBS is one of context aware services those are automatically adaptable toward content changes. ITB Guide is a location based service application that provides location information about ITB. This final project is focused on developing standalone application by combining separated old features with new interesting features to get the newest version application which is called ITB Guide 1.2 version. The features developed in this application are user position tracking, detecting nearby landmark, shortest path finder to some places, displaying landmark detail information, easy access to further information through direct internet connection to landmark website address and initializing call based on landmark detail information, and help feature. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This application is designed by using UML and developed by using J2ME programming language. Positioning method that is used is A-GPS (Assisted GPS).
