Summary: | The amount of DKI Jakarta’s resident that is growing so fast, required a new easy-use tool to control it. One of the tool that can be used is distribution model for resident’s population by using multiscale grid system. The resolution of the grid that is used in this research is 5” x 5” (0.155 x 0.155 km) with the area of the research is DKI Jakarta. With this multiscale grid system, the resident population density’s number can be provided in the grid that is needed. To make the model, landuse/landcover data, administrative boundary data, statistical population data in DKI Jakarta, and mathematical model is needed to get the number of each grid. In that mathematical model, there is weight parameter for each land-class. Beside that, the number of land-class in a sub-district is also influence the population density’s value for every grid. With this multiscale grid system, the popultion density can be modeled and visualized by using color variation in spatial map in order to make the user can get the information about population in an area easily. |
