Because this impacts, the uses of HCFCs as a <br /> <br /> <br /> refrigerant will be stop gradually, including in Indonesia. <br /> <br /> <br /> HCFC-22 or R-22 is a refrigerant which is commonly used in airconditioning unit and the packaged unit air-conditioning is the type of airconditioning which is also commonly used in high bulidings or other bulidings. By the discontinuation of the use of R-22, it must be find such an alternative refrigerant. The hydrocarbon and HFC refrigerant is the most approriate candidate as an alternative refrigerant to replace R-22 represented by R-290 and R-407C. This type of refrigerant selected based on similarity with R-22. From the test result obtained for the 5TR packaged unit airconditioning, the refrigerant charge necessary to achieve optimum performance of R-290 is only 30% of R-22’s refrigerant charge with the result of capacity obtained18,56 kW and COP 8,2. While the R-407C achieve the greatest performance with a capacity of 19,7 kW and COP 8,6 with similar refrigerant charge as R-22. The consideration of choosing this alternative refrigerant is <br /> <br /> <br /> that R-290 has properies that are flammable so the risk are become larger, and the R-407C has a cost price that is uch more expensive than other refrigerant. text |
