Description
Summary:There are many methods that can be used to monitor land use changes. The popular method is the post classification comparison change detection (PCCCD). However this method required many process, so it is possible error in the process. Another method that can be used namely multitemporal image data fusion (MIDF) which has shorter process and results can be directly analyzed. However, this methods are dominant studied in the country with land cover characteristic differ from Indonesia. So it is very interesting to study the quality result if applied in Indonesia. The area of research is Segara Anakan, in Cilacap, Central Java. The land cover change detection methods namely the MIDF was studied with the algorithm of (a) Differencing Image Rationing (DIR) and (b) Principal Component Analysis (PCA). In addition, the influences of spatial resolution of images related to the area of interpretated result using DIR were also evaluated. <br /> The qualitative results of the land cover change detection with the DIR method shows no significant different with the PCA method. Whereas the quantitative results are hardly analized. The changes of images spatial resolution has not influence into the results that area change from DIR methods.
