do surveillance mission that required by military forces in urban warfare, as well as civilian to do various task. <br />

This Final Project will describe about flight dynamic characteristic of ducted fan UAV with case study Allied Aerospace iSTAR UAV 29”. The project begins with literature study then continued with building the mathematic model of iSTAR UAV, based on linearized equation of motion at hover mode. The next step is analyzing the dynamic characteristic of this UAV. In this process, the response of iSTAR UAV will be known when a small perturbation given. Gyroscopic effects that happen as a result of propeller’s rotation become one of the focuses on this project. This is because the effect will create cross-coupling on iSTAR UAV. This <br />

phenomenon is a unique case on ducted fan UAV, so the simulation will be given at two conditions, i.e. with and without gyroscopic effect. From those two simulations, the gyroscopic effect will be seen on the response of iSTAR UAV. |
