The main factor of WiMAX IEEE 802.16d development was government support, communication trend which goes to high bandwidth and mobility, and low investment. The <br />

other factor is the only choice at that time was WiMAX. It considered that PT TRG needs deeper planning process to develop its technology. <br />
<br />
<br />
PT TRG’s technology development could be directed to existing technology optimization or new technology development. The use of TRIZ forecasting technology is to choose one of the two choices. Planning process continued to the external analysis using PESLTE, SWOT analysis, and gap analysis to know its premises clarification and feasibility verification. Those analysis help PT TRG to choose the right strategy, whether it has to continue or cancel technology <br />

After being analyzed, PT TRG should develop WiMAX IEEE 802.16e which has high mobility and high speed access, so that WiMAX and LTE stay in the same position. This decision was made based on supported external environment. PT TRG should be more aware of external <br />

threats and confront it with internal strengths. The first thing that has to be the main concern of PT TRG is to improve its management, such as vision and mission formulation, develop independent division, and increase a number of human resources. |
