Description
Summary:This thesis explains the development of the Centralized User
Administration for Multi-platform Environment Software (APTBSO),
which is part of the Network Manager Software development project.
In performing centralized user administration, APTBSO uses
client-server model. The APTBSO component at central (network
management station), which task is to retrieve command and data
input from user administrator, will send encrypted command code to
Unix and Windows NT agent servers. Then, the PTJBSO components
at agent servers will perform user administration locally based on the
command code.
The APTBSO development process follows the V-cycle of
Thomson-CSF. The development begins with requirement analysis
using SA-RT method. The design is performed using TOOD method.
The objects resulted from the design are implemented in Tcl, C, and
Visual C++ programming languages. To assure the software quality,
several tests have been done. The test results show that the software
has complied with its requirement specifications.
