ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF BIOPIGMENT FROM MICROALGA THALASSIOSIRA SP.

Microalgae is a natural resource which is very abundant. The study of microalgae as a source of biomass to produce biodiesel has been widely applied. However, research biopigment microalgae as a source of highly benficial to the food industry (as food coloring), cosmeticsm and pharmaceuticals (as an...

However, research biopigment microalgae as a source of highly benficial to the food industry (as food coloring), cosmeticsm and pharmaceuticals (as an anti-oxidant and pro-vitamin A) has not been widely reported. Therefore, this study carried out for identifying and characterizating marine microalgae produced biopigment Thalassosira sp.
