Description
Summary:The idea to create a semi-automated flight performance analysis program has been sparked since some time ago, but yet the calculation is still done using Ms Excel and FORTRAN which is not quite automated. By using a sophisticated programming language like MATLAB, an aerodynamic input data generated by a program such as

Datcom+ can be integrated directly into MATLAB algorithm using functions provided. This automated flight performance analysis program in MATLAB environment is designed to help academics in the field of aerospace engineering. The developed algorithms will cover five flight phases: takeoff, climb, cruise, turning, and landing. These algorithms use equations from the basic aircraft performance analysis theory, with inputs such as aerodynamic, propulsion, aircraft mass, and the flight condition properties data, which some are varied and some are fixed. The output from these algorithms are mostly figures such as takeoff distancetakeoff time plot, flight envelope diagram, payload-range diagram, fan diagram, and

landing distance-landing time plot. The algorithms are then applied to analyze the performance of Boeing 737-400 CFM 56-3 B-2. The result will then be discussed and used to evaluate and validate the program (algorithms) by comparing it to the reference data.
