Compost samples were used as culture media for growing kangkung darat (Ipomoea reptans). Kangkung, was cultivated in cadmium unpolluted from the air. Kangkung was harvested for three periods: one month, two months, and three months of cultivation. The cadmium content was determinated in root, stem and leaves part of kangkung. All the samples were digested using HNO3 1:1 for 12 hours, and then continued with 30 minutes heating at 105oC and finally hydrogen peroxide was added to completion of the oxidation reaction. Method validation was done to determine % recovery using two calibration methods: external and addition standard calibrations. It was obtained that % recovery for both methods were 97.05 % and 120.0%. <br /> text |
