Description
Summary:Bunyu Field is located in Tarakan Basin, East Kalimantan which has been producing oil since 1950. In 2010, productions in Bunyu Field significantly increase after the discovery of sandstone package that is able to produce oil at 5.000 bopd with zero percent water cut. Understanding the sandstone distribution at Bunyu Field is required in order to perform an optimal field development. An issue that is raised in the study is the distribution of Zone M sandstone in Bunyu Field associated with a growth fault influence and its facies deposition. Data that used in the study are wireline log of 129 wells, biostratigraphy data, core data and petrophysical log data, 2D seismic PSDM data and 3D seismic PSDM data. The study will cover kajian ulang of biostratigraphic analysis results, wells correlation, facies analysis for the identification of depositional environments, and seismic interpretation for fault and horizon identification. By performing those steps, depth structure map, paleogeographic map, isopach map and porosity map were constructed to analize how growth faults have influence the Zone M sandstone distribution in Bunyu Field. The results will reveal that the Zone M sandstone distribution controled by sedimentation that is trending west to east and growth fault that is trending NE-SW.
