Consequently the dust will contaminate coals particle and reduce coal heating value. <br />

The cyclone de-duster was designed for reducing dust content of hot gas for drying coal in coal mill. Cyclone Design software is used to design and evaluating the cyclone. Then two parallel cyclone de-duster was designed to get same eficiency with single cyclone but it has smaller dimension and lower pressure drop than single cyclone. Evaluation on separating efficiency and flow characteristic inside cyclones are simulated using Fluent 6.2 software. Based from the result of simulation we get cyclone eficiency about 54.96% and pressure drop is 232.58 Pa. The coal heating value will increase 260.91 (4.7%) kkal/kg from 5506.16 kkal/kg to 5767.07 kkal/kg. The coal heating value increase due to reducing dush content in hot gas. |
