This salt usually produced by evaporation that enable polluter mixed with the salt. High NaCl in sea water incerease the density. Start from determining moisture in coarse salt, block salt and salt from Australia, the determination followed by determining the density and the content of Sodium , Potassium and Calcium. From duplo moisture test , there is a slight different mass change when plotted in one curve. For the density determination using pycnometer, the density of pure NaCl, coarse salt, block salt and salt from Australia obtained. The density determination also applied for 2 salt mixture (NaCl-coarse salt and NaCl-block salt) and 3 salt mixture (NaCl-coarse salt-block salt). From pure salt density, the salt sample curve is similar to the pure NaCl curve. From 2 salt mixture, the curve is fluctuative but have ascending tendency as the number of NaCl in the solution increased. For 3 salt mixture, the curve ascending first and then become flat after passing certain point. Sodium and Potassium test was done using Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) and Calcium test using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Composition of coarse salt and block salt is same as the standard solution. From the calibration curve of standard solution and salt sample, the curve of salt sample for Sodium is slightly beneath the standard solution curve but for Potassium and Calcium, the curve is far under the standard curve. text
