Buying a new <br /> compressor with larger capacity must be evaluated carefully since the compressor is expensive. There is a great chance making a new <br /> compressor working together in couple with the old one. This study was carried out by simulation using Hysys simulator from Hyprotech. Compressor model was built from Hysys' modules. <br /> The availability of compressor's performance curves made simulation process run smoothly. <br /> The results showed that the combination of both medium pressure of performance curve is a good choice for the selected input condition in this study. This combination showed the stability behaviour and predictable relationship between both compressors total energy and suction flows. This makes easier in implementing control strategy against the surge condition. text
