THE EFFECT OF USING HYDROGEN-OXYGEN GASES ON GASOLINE ENGINE WITH MIXED FUEL PREMIUM 95% AND BIOETHANOL 5% (E5)
Motor vehicles contribute a significant proportion of the so-called greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), dinitro oxide (N2O), and CFC. The greenhouse effect is caused by emissions of these gases which contribute to the phenomenon of global warming. Ethanol is a biofuel that is...

Ethanol is a biofuel that is categorized as a renewable fuel which does not contribute to global warming. Previous trials showed that mixing ethanol with Premium fuel coupled with small amounts of HHO gas reduced fuel consumption and emissions. Testing was carried out using four combinations of fuel; ie Premium, Premium+HHO, E5, and E5+HHO. HHO gas was produced by a HHO generator supplied with a 12V power from a battery. HHO gas was supplied to the engine via the intake manifold. Test results indicated increased power was obtained using E5+HHO by an

average of 0.97% at maximum load. Of the emissions produced, there was a decrease of CO and THC emissions by 18,26% and 16,74%, and an increase of CO2 emissions by 5,51% during the test at 2500 rpm. text |
