Because of these, it is compulsar for Indonesia to have a comprehensive system in responding those natural disasters. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Until now, there are still a lot of shortcomings on the practice of disaster management in Indonesia, especially during the response phase or phases of emergency response which supposed to require a system with no errors. Any error in the system in this short phase, which is approximately 72 hours, will impact on the significant increase of the number of casualties and material losses. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This study will create a system that can improve the effectiveness of disaster management process in response phase. In this case the main problems were the weakness of coordination among organizations which involved in disaster’s response phase. To increase the efffectiveness of this coordination, this research will create a model of management information to support the process of disaster management at the time of the response phase. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Result of this research was an integrated information management model that involves a number of important players in the disaster response phase such as Bakornas-PB, military, police, Basarnas, PMI, Media, Civil Society Organizations to individuals. This system focuses on (1) the flow patterns and forms of information, (2) support equipment, and (3) determination of the major players that will coordinate disaster management timely, accurately, and right on those who need it most (on track). text |
