Generally, the strength of natural fibers tend to be low and need additional treatment to increase its strength. The use of glass fibers combined with natural fibers is expected to improve the material properties of natural fibers. This study describes the characteristics of composites made from bamboo fiber combined with glass fiber when given bending loads with three point bending test method. The addition of glass fibers arranged in a laminate of two layers and four layers at the bottom and top of the bamboo fiber composite structure. The matrix resin used was lycal. The results showed that glass fiber increasing material properties of bamboo fibers. The value of flexural strength and flexural modulus with the addition of two layers of glass fiber are 51.88 MPa and 10.28 GPa. The value of addition four layers of glass fiber are 94.84 MPa and 19.74 GPa. text
